Vertigo and Dizziness

The sensation of constant spinning can keep you out of the activities you love, can steal away your ability to drive, and will leave you with miserable associated symptoms (nausea, headache, and hearing dysfunction most prominently).

Unfortunately, these symptoms can persist for many months if the root dysfunction causing them is not addressed. Many of the patients who find success with TBFN come to us, having unsuccessfully tried various first-line remedies, including an Epley maneuver and benzodiazepines. Typically the cause of their symptoms lies elsewhere in the eyes, ears, or cerebellum.

Vertigo and other forms of chronic dizziness may have many different causes, ranging from viral infection to head injury to seemingly no cause at all! They can be due to inner ear dysfunction, sensory disturbance, balance disorder, or other brain-related abnormalities. Many patients have multiple causes happening simultaneously.

Care with our office blends active neurologic rehabilitation, time-tested modalities, and meticulous home care plans for a functional and lasting solution.

Our Structured Approach to Vertigo + Dizziness Recovery

Doctor Doing Brain Medical Exam On Old Woman In Hospital

1. Comprehensive Examination

Vertigo and balance treatment begins with a comprehensive clinical neurologic examination and a review or referral for imaging if necessary. This process helps the doctor identify the sites of prominent injury causing your symptoms.

After the examination and review of findings, the doctor will create a personalized treatment plan. This plan includes therapies from our extensive in-house offerings and any co-management referrals to other specialties that might benefit you.

2. Personalized Treatment Plan

A typical treatment plan for vertigo and balance recovery at TBFN includes a blend of ocular and vestibular therapy, cold laser therapy, physical therapy, spinal manipulation, acupuncture, dietary and lifestyle interventions, biofeedback, and vibration plate therapy. Patients pay one flat rate for all these services combined. A typical trial of care lasts 3-6 weeks, with treatments 2-3 times per week. Most patients experience notable improvement within the first two weeks.

Direct-Pay Office

TBFN is a direct-pay office. We accept cash, credit, debit, and HSA/FSA cards. We are also happy to provide our patients with superbills to submit to their insurance company for reimbursement. We do this to allow the doctor to spend the time necessary with patients for comprehensive care, and to guarantee our patients fair, flat rates for their care.
