Each new patient of Tampa Bay Functional Neurology undergoes an at-length consultation and examination. This appointment is a comprehensive deep dive into the symptoms you are dealing with. Plan to allocate 90-120 minutes for this appointment. Bring any previous imaging, labs, or relevant medical records you have on-hand. If you don’t have any of these, don’t worry. The doctor will determine whether any follow up testing is necessary in the exam.
New patient appointments with TBFN cost $299. This price point is a competitive market value for the doctor’s time. We are a direct pay office, and we accept cash, credit, debit, and HSA/FSA cards. While we are not in network with any third-party payors at this time, we are happy to provide our patients with itemized superbills to submit to their carrier for reimbursement.
Our care plans are highly variable and based on individual need. Some patients only require a short course of visits, and others benefit from ongoing supportive care. However, our “typical” patient normally spends 3-6 weeks with us in active care, followed by a re-examination to assess treatment outcomes. Visit frequency during active care ranges from 1-3 visits per week.

Your comprehensive 90-minute new patient evaluation is $299. This includes a thorough neurological assessment and a clear answer about whether we can help you.
Bring any previous imaging (MRIs, CT scans), lab results, or relevant medical records. If you don’t have these, don’t worry—we’ll determine if any additional testing is needed.
Most patients see us for 3-6 weeks of active care (1-3 visits per week), followed by a re-evaluation. Treatment plans are highly individualized based on your specific condition.

We see patients from across Florida and offer intensive programs for out-of-town patients who need concentrated treatment over 1-2 weeks.

We do this to allow the doctor to spend the time necessary with patients for comprehensive care, and to guarantee our patients fair, flat rates for their care.
